Ibex Studios offers stellar proofreading, editing, and coaching services for reasonable rates. In addition, we are interested in working with you to design customized writing adventures for your parties, discussion groups, or circle of friends.

Proofreading

Let us do a nitty gritty proofread of your work before you send it out into the world. We are happy to look at anything from holiday newsletters and blog entries to entire websites and book-length manuscripts.

Proofreading services include a thorough read-through for proper punctuation, spelling, grammar, usage, and all the other tiny things often impossible to catch in your own writing.

Our proofreading services do not include feedback on content. If you want to know if your story would flow better with more dialogue, how you could make your term paper more concise, or how to make your personal essay sparkle, our editing services are the thing for you.

Rate: $3 per page, $30 minimum
(To us, a "page" is a document in 12-point type with standard font and margins.)

Editing

Our editing services include an in-depth analysis in addition to a close proofread. As supportive editors, we will read your work with attention to its strengths and weaknesses, along with any specific concerns you may have. We will underline passages we love, circle awkward areas and make suggestions for improvement, and write a full-page response to your work, all with the goal of helping you make your piece the best version of itself it can be.

Rate: $4 per page, $40 minimum
(To us, a "page" is a document in 12-point type with standard font and margins.)
More intensive editing needs may increase rates.

Coaching

If what you really need is a kick in the pants, a cheerleader, or a creative ally who can both inspire and hold you accountable, try our personalized coaching services. While we've got an arsenal of ideas, it's really up to you how we spend our time together - we can discuss a specific project you're working on, design a one-on-one writing class, find venues for publishing your work, or do any other writing-related activities that suit your needs. Contact us for a free one-hour consultation so we can figure out a perfect program for you.

Rate: $40 per hour, $40 minimum. After the first hour, we bill in fifteen-minute increments.

Customized Writing Adventures

Do you want to spice up a dinner party with some word games and playful writing activities? Are you a part of a group or club that would benefit from the closeness that writing with others brings? Would you like to put together a writing group with friends but need a little help getting it going? For all of these things and more, invite Ibex Studios. We'd love to bring creative writing into your world in any way that suits you.
